BY ROAD

Telephone BoxThe co-ordinates will take you to the telephone box in the centre of the village and the postcode approximately 150 metres down the road to the north west.

From the A303
Take the Bruton/Shaftesbury B3081, Wincanton Races exit (a very sharp exit)
As soon as you come off the A303 turn right signed to Bruton B3081
At T junction turn left to Bruton and then turn right just after the Hunters Lodge pub, again signed to Bruton B3081.
Continue on this road to T junction on a triangle, turn right, signed to Bruton.
After a couple of miles you will come into Bruton. Keep the Church on your left and follow the one way system down Silver Street, past Kings Bruton School.
Keep right as road divides at T junction following sign to Frome A359
On your left you will immediately see a petrol station/Budgens supermarket.  Take the left turn on the corner just after the Fmly Store where you will see a sign to Frome
Continue on this road for 2 miles, and then turn right to Lamyatt,  on a sharp left hand bend. Follow this narrow lane to the T junction and turn right to come into the village.

From Castle Cary
Take the A371 in the direction of Shepton Mallet. Approximately one mile after the Station, turn right on a very large left hand bend, signed to Bruton.
Approximately a quarter of a mile along this road, take left turn to Lamyatt, which is on a right hand bend in front of a farm house. Follow the road for approximately half a mile when you will enter the village.

BY RAIL
Southwest Trains
Regular services to/from Gillingham and Templecombe (20 minutes away by car) on the Waterloo / Plymouth line. Waterloo is about 2 hours away.  A limited service also currently runs from Bruton  Parking is available at the stations.

First Great Western
The Penzance / Paddington service is quicker (1 hour 32 minutes) but less frequent and tends to be more expensive than the Waterloo line. Trains stop at Castle Cary Station, which is less than 5 minutes drive from Lamyatt. Tickets booked in advance are less expensive than paying when you get to the station. Parking is available at the station
