2012 – Twelfth Night

2012 Twelth Night Poster - web compressed

Last performed by The Festival Players in 2004, this enduring favourite will have a fresh production but involving some old friends: Terry Ashe took over the role of Malvolio for us, in 2004, when our original cast member became ill, and will repeat the part this year; he has been a longstanding member of Theatre Set-Up and joins us with another stalwart of that Company, Tony Portacio, who will be playing Sit Toby Belch. Lane Paul Stewart (Caliban 2010) will be Orsino and Feste, and Paul Thomas (Lancelot Gobbo 2009) will be Sir Andrew Aguecheek. Unlike Richard III, Twelfth Night will not be performed by an all-male team: Jasmine Darke will return to reprise the part of Olivia that she played for us in 2004, and we welcome an experienced actress, Kirsty Cox, who will join us for the first time, to play both Viola and Maria. An exciting line-up, I hope you will agree; and once again, the icing on the cake, will be the wonderful music and songs composed by Johnny Coppin.
